The EFT Lab provides online learning courses for therapists who want to learn about Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT). This policy explains what personal information we collect from you when you visit our website and/or enroll in our courses.
We take our students’ privacy very seriously and will only collect and use information in ways that are useful to you and in a manner consistent with your rights and our obligations under the law. Additionally, we regularly review our data collection, use and storage practices to ensure data collected is only what is needed to provide services and is purged on a regular basis.
By using this site you agree to be subject to the jurisdiction and laws of the State of Texas.
What Information We Collect
The EFT Lab may collect personal information which we receive when you:
- use our website
- register for our courses
- sign up for our newsletter
- or contact us
We may collect the following types of information:
- your name, email address, telephone number and other contact details
- information required to provide you with a service, and details of our services that you have used
The EFT Lab does not collect or store your payment information such as credit or debit card details and bank account details.
Collection of Information from Children
The EFT Lab will not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of eighteen (18). Any data found to be from a person under the age of 18 will be deleted.
Accessing Your Personal Information
You can view and update your personal information anytime by logging into the My Courses and the My Dashboard pages of The EFT Lab website.
Request Deletion
Please use the Contact Us form to request that your data be deleted.
How We Use Your Data
As a student
The customer organization data (organization name, address, URL and key business and contact information) will be stored securely in The EFT Lab’s Learning Management System (LMS) for the purpose of providing access to course work, communicating with students, ensuring satisfaction and building awareness of new products.
Individual learner data (first/last name and email) will be stored in The EFT Lab LMS to enable learners to access the online learning service, complete courses, answer quizzes, access resources, and record learning progress.
The EFT Lab may encourage students to renew their subscription before their course expiration date. If the student chooses not to renew, access to the courses and training service will no longer be available.
Data Retention
Two years after the course access expiration date has passed, if no additional courses have been purchased – we will:
- Permanently delete the student, learner data and training history from the LMS.
- Key contact details may be retained up to 1 year for the purposes of future follow up contact.
An individual learner can request deletion of their personal data and course history here.
For marketing purposes
We may contact you regarding upcoming courses, new offerings, to request feedback or for other marketing purposes if you have signed up for our newsletter or if you have made an enquiry regarding The EFT Lab courses. You may request to be deleted from any and all communication from us by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the marketing email.
How we use your information:
- to provide you with information about our current courses and services
- to assist you in answering any questions you have submitted
- to keep you updated on new courses and offerings where you have requested we do so
- to send special offers as they are available
Keeping your information safe and secure
The EFT Lab is committed to keeping customers’ personal information secure to protect it from being inappropriately or accidentally accessed, used, shared or destroyed, and against it being lost.
The site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of the information under our control. All form entries are encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Site is equipped with Wordfence security plugin to protect against hacks and malware.
Third party access
We will only share your data in a secure way. We will not allow other companies to use it to contact you with their own marketing.
The EFT Lab may share your data with the following:
- Mailchimp – for the purpose of sending our newsletter. Opt-out anytime using the link at the bottom of every email.
- Paypal – for the purpose of securely processing payments. The EFT Lab does not collect or store any payment information.
- Disaster Recovery Backups – backups are stored for no longer than 90 days and automatically purged on a regular basis.
Access to your personal information is only allowed when required by law, we do not, and will never, sell or share your personal information with third parties.
Use of Website Cookies
This website uses cookies to improve your experience when visiting the website. Cookies are small files saved to your device that track, save and store information about your interactions with and usage of the website. This allows the website, through its server to provide you with a tailored experience within this website.
